In November 2022, our team provided surgical care in Vietnam. The team composed of Pediatric Surgeons, Neonatologists and a Pediatric Ophthalmologist. The team served the DaNang Women and Children Hospital in DaNang, Vietnam.
We performed complex surgical interventions ranging from minimally invasive resection of congenital choledochal cysts to removal of chest wall mases. The neonatologists rounded daily in the unit and shared many educational lectures. We also participated in a one day symposium with presentations from everyone in the group in their area of expertise.
