In September 2021, our team partnered with Loma Linda University and the Ghana Adventist Health Services to provide surgical care in 2 cities in Ghana: Kumasi and Techiman. Our team worked in Kumasi and was involved both in pediatric as well as adult surgical care.
Over the course of a week in Kumasi while working with local surgeons we performed 88 pediatric surgery cases and more than 80 adult surgery cases.
Pathology was a very broad spectrum and ranged from hernias, and superficial and intraabdominal masses to undescended testes, rectal prolapses, and burn scars.
