Maryam Tabrizi MD

Maryam Bita Tabrizi is an Acute Care surgeon at Loma Linda University Health. She specializes in trauma, surgical critical care, and emergency general surgery with board certification in general surgery and critical care medicine. She is the director of Emergency General Surgery for the department of surgery at Loma Linda University. She was previously the Trauma Medical Director for North Shore Medical Center/Massachusetts General Hospital. She also served as the MGH Department of Surgery Community Health Director for two years. She has a passion for quality improvement locally and internationally. She has worked in Peru, Tanzania, and Jordan at the Syrian border. As an ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) course director, she is interested in sharing the ATLS principals internationally to minimize variances in care regarding pediatric and adult trauma patients. She is a proud mother of a wonderful daughter. She hopes to raise her daughter to understand the complexity of the world and the need for volunteers who want to make small changes affecting the lives of others.
