Hana-Joy Hanks is a third-year medical student at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. Prior to medical school she worked as an ophthalmology, hospice, and psychiatric registered nurse and conducted research as an intern in the Freel-Meyers Lab at Johns Hopkins University. Currently she is involved in research at the Laboratory for Innovations in Medical Education (LIME) at LLU and has participated in medical missions to India and Mexico. With a strong passion for global medicine and a dedication to surgical specialties, she is committed to the mission of GPSA in providing high quality surgical care to the pediatric population in remote communities.
